WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY 214

Happy WOYWW! I'm sorry that my pics are a bit dark, we have had lots of cloudy weather in CA these days but that's a nice change and it makes it so much cooler dogwalking:)

The top two pictures are of some rubber stamp sets that I'm getting ready to post in my Etsy shop as well as my lesson plan notes for my Art class that I am teaching for the summer. This week I taught the kids how to draw a cute dog and it seemed like a real crowd pleaser:)

The next shot is of some more ACEO's that I painted over the weekend as well as my next digital stamp design, a set of Seashell Angels.

And this last pic is of a new digital stamp called, "Butterfly Birthday Cake" that I hope to list by the end of this week, just putting some last minute touches on it. I think that's it for this week, thanks for stopping by!

WORD ART WEDNESDAY - #87

I hope you all enjoyed your Fourth of July celebrations yesterday. I found so many wonderful blogs last week and since I have been having so much fun the last 2 weeks posting for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, I thought I would try my hand at Word Art Wednesday (as well as #Tell His Story (see badge link below)).

WAW has challenges with scripture art and these days my sketchbook is so full of that so I thought I would take their scripture for this week from Psalm 33 and make something in honor of our country with a stars and stripes theme.

I drew an ink sketch first and then made an ink/watercolor and colored pencil illustration and had so much fun playing!

Since my "reversion" back to my faith two years ago, after over 30 years, I started reading the Bible for the first time in my life and actually got a free paperback bible of the New Testament at (of all places) Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA on Good Friday 2011. A local church was giving them out at the game so I said, "Sure, I'll take one." I remember that I just could not wait to go home and read it and when I did the words spoke so deeply to my heart and my soul immediately, I knew my life would change and now that I know what is expected of me as a Catholic Christian, there is no going back and I couldn't be happier. My faith journey is really just getting started but I have loved every minute of it. So when I came across Word Art Wednesday I had to create something!

Here is the scripture for this week:

The scripture for this week is Psalm 33:12.
Blessed is the nation
whose God is the Lord,
and the people whom
he hath chosen
for his own inheritance.

I hope you enjoy my humble little drawings and I hope to be able to play along again soon!

Hugs,

Michelle

WOYWW

Happy What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, I think I am offically hooked on this, in fact, I love that is it making me accountable to actually HAVE something on my workdesk to show on Wednesday and to be working on.

Today I am hoping to get some better photos of my new rubber stamp sets to list at my Etsy shop for Christmas in July.

Also, I have two new scripture ACEO's that I want to take pictures of as well to list in my shop and am finishing up the final touches on a new digital stamp design, "Butterfly Birthday Cake."

And I am also sketching some Halloween designs for a Rubber Stamp set as well as brainstorming for some more ideas for my art class of twelve 10 year olds that are seriously keeping me on my toes and I always need to have backup drawing ideas for them if they get too bored with me:)
