Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope you are all getting ready to dress up the little ones (and yourselves!) I will be stuffing myself with large amounts of chocolate, preferably Reeces cups (has anyone tried the dark chocolate Reeces yet - I cant find them!)

Just wanted everyone to know that my 2 for 1 Sale has been extended until tomorrow, November 1st at noon PST.

We all get an extra hour of sleep tonight! Ahhh, one of my favorite days of the year! :))

His new name is "BUDDY" which was Gina and her little boys entry to our name that pup contest!

I had to call him Buddy because a good friend of mine just lost her doggie named Buddy a few months ago, he was a beautiful Aussie mix and was the sweetest little boy. I just loved him and the name Buddy so I had to call him that!

Thanks to everyone for all of your wonderful names! I will certainly do this again it was such a blast!

CHALLENGE #2 IS ON!

Our first week at Michelle Perkett stamps was a huge success thanks to all of our wonderful creative goddesses who participated in our first challenge! Wow, did we have amazing creations this week! Not just in our challenge, which were so gorgeous, but you ladies made my images just come to life with all of you creativity and wonderful imaginations! And a Big Congratulations to Brandi for winning our first challenge! :)

ALICE'S TEA TIME STAMP SKETCH

Hello friends! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and put your new artist affirmations to work!

I know I said I'd be back on Tuesday but I couldnt wait till then. I know now I'm officially addicted to blogging but I cant think of a more fun addiction and a creative outlet than this!

I had a great day at the Second Saturday Art Fair on Saturday. My Mom was with my all day and my wonderful friend Jamie made 2 trips to the show in the morning to help me set up and at the end of the day to help me pack up my car. I love you, James!

The sales were pretty dismal but I had such a great time with my Mom and talking to people that came to the booth and telling me that they liked my work. I eat those words up every time I sell because they feed my soul. I am always so inspired the next day because of these wonderful inspirational words.

I was able to sleep in yesterday and have lots of time to lounge in my jammies, drink my Godiva Breakfast Blend coffee and write in all of my journals. Ahhhhhh, my favorite kind of day!

I have been wanting to design some Alice in Wonderland digital stamps and this little Alice came to me almost right away yesterday morning. After I finish inking Dorothy and Toto, she's next!

Great to be back for a visit with you all, I hope you are getting in some creative time today!

ARTIST AFFIRMATION FOR YOU ALL

As some of you may know, I am a big believer in the power of an affirmation and have an affirmation journal that I write in when I can and have started posting my favorites on my fridge and next to my bed so I see them often.

For some reason, about a month ago, I was drawn to an book on my shelf that a friend gave me about 5 years ago called, Holy Moly Maceroli, about a woman and her card making buisness. One of my favorite books.

I opened it up to a page with an affirmation from the artist Janet Ghio. She posted this affirmation that she had written while doing The Artists Way, a great book which helped me creatively very much in my life.

I loved her words and wanted to post it here. I have really never thought of myself as making a living as an artist. Sounds weird but I never has really said the words, "I make my living as an artist. " I have been using her words lately and a funny thing has happened. I have been selling more work little by little and have been given more opportunities for my work that I never have thought of before.

I would love you guys to have this and post it on your blogs if you like, I think these words are very powerful. For me, the one thing I want in my life is to make a living as an artist so I will be thinking that way from now on!
