I found such a wonderfully creative blog a few weeks ago called, Peggy Apl Seeds, Peggy is an artist who lives in the Philippines and shares her Prayer Journal pages, ATC's and other creative and inspiring artwork.
I looked for a link on her blog to her Etsy shop or website and there was none. I dont know for sure but I think she just posts for the love of her creativity, her faith and to share with others. To me that is such a foreign concept since I have had my art business for the last 9 years and everyday I am thinking about marketing, blogging, posting and have almost lost the true meaning of why I create my art, because I love it, its me and it always will be even when it changes and when sometimes I feel like creating something with scripture or when I draw angels with rosy cheeks or cakes with daisies on them.
I have to tell you how inspiring the concept of just creating art for the sake of creating felt to me, I almost couldnt believe there was an artist with a blog not selling anything! Every Wednesday, Peggy makes a post on her blog called, "What's on your workdesk Wednesday" WOYWW and links it up on the Stamping Ground Blog. So I thought I would have a little fun and do something different today and link my little post, too.
I'm working on my butterfly flower cake digital stamp image, its a bit faint but you can see the pencil outlines. Also, I painted a couple more ACEO's over the weekend. One is inspired by Christmas in July. I'm also working on my class project for Monday's art class that I am teaching for the summer (not ready yet, so its not in the photo:)) Thank you, Peggy, so very much for your inspiration and creativity. And also to Patsy, who I think is Peggy's sister, your blog has the most beautiful things to inspire anyone's soul, too:)

SEASHELL ANGEL SKETCHES
Happy Summer! I am excited about this time of the year because Christmas in July is right around the corner, I just love July for that reason:) So to celebrate summer and Christmas in July I sketched a few little summer cuties called the Seashell Angels. They were inspired by a little figurine at a friends house of a wee seashell angel. I have always thought it would be so much fun to draw one and out popped three the other night onto my sketchbook page, meet Flora, Twinkle and Pearl...

SKETCHBOOK PAINTINGS
Happy Sunday and a Happy Father's Day to all of you who are celebrating today.
I had today off and am playing in my sketchbook with some watercolors and glitter. I have been really enjoying painting, coloring and inking and glittering these little ACEO paintings lately.
I'm sorry that the photos are a bit fuzzy, I'm taking pictures with my camera because I wanted to make sure the glitter showed but I cant get them into focus very well since they are pretty tiny:) Hugs, Michelle

NEW MIXED MEDIA ACEO CARD
I have been playing with the ACEO bristol board cards I ordered a while ago and decided since I painted a birthday cake for my Mom last week, I decided to make another one for a friend of mine.
I used pen and ink, watercolor and couldnt resist a little bit of Diamond Stickles glitter on top of the red hearts, it makes it look extra cute:)
They are really easy and fun to make and they fit perfectly inside a birthday card as a little extra surprise!

BIRTHDAY CAKES/ACEO FOR MY MOM
This weekend I made my Mom a little birthday gift. I was playing around in my sketchbook and was drawing lots of birthday cakes so I decided to make her a really pretty one on paper since I could never actually make her a real one:) I drew and colored and glittered this one in my sketchbook and thought it would be fun to make a little ACEO card for her, a little mini-birthday card. So I got out my watercolors and had a blast coloring and glittering her card. I hope she likes it! Her birthday is Wednesday and my brother and I are taking her to a fun
