HAPPY AND MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas, everyone! I wish you all a beautiful Christmas and I hope that it is filled with everything good, especially lots of love and family.

Here is a little sketch I did for today, definately a stamp design for Christmas in July:)

I am working on some new Spring and Easter sets with Sparkle N Sprinkle so I will keep you posted after Christmas on what I'm working on.

NEW CHRISTMAS SKETCH

Happy Friday!

Can you believe it, only 3 weeks until Christmas? Are you all ready for the big day? Are you taking time to enjoy this beautiful time of year? I hope so:) I did this week, I drew this little Christmas sketch last weekend in my sketchbook and then had fun coloring it this week, just for fun. I was inspired by everyone here in California last week saying, "Brrrrr!" everywhere I went since it was pretty chilly here, especially at night, finally!

BIBLE ART JOURNALING BOOKMARKS

Hi Everyone,

Can you believe only 2 more days until Thanksgiving? I hope you all are going to enjoy some good quality family time with loved ones around the table on Thursday.

It finally feels and looks like fall here in Southern California, thank goodness. We had another heat wave last weekend and all of a sudden its cool and crisp and the trees are turning yellow and orange (except for the palm trees of course:))

I just listed some new bible bookmarks with the scripture verse, "May the Lord bless you and keep you." Numbers 6:24 at my ETSY shop, I hope you guys like them. I have really been getting into Hand-lettering and thought these would be really fun, let me know how you like them, I always love reading your comments:)

NEW MPS BIBLE ART JOURNALING

Hi everyone,

Over the summer I discovered bible art journaling thanks to Karen Seifert, who posted a lovely bible art journaling page on my Facebook page with one of my fairy images and from that moment on I was hooked, thank you, Karen!

First and foremost, I came back to my faith about 4 years ago and am experiencing life with Jesus for the first time in my life and it is the most beautiful life imaginable, if you know Him you know what I mean:)

I've never read the bible in my life until 4 years ago and love and live by it (at least I try to) now and when I discovered bible art journaling I just couldnt imagine how beautiful two of my favorite things put together could be; art and God's word. I LOVE it and some of the pages that people paint, draw and illustrate that I've seen online are so lovely and inspiring to me.

I wanted to share a few pages with you to hopefully inspire you. I dont have a note taking bible with margins but I have been using either my sketchbook or my lined journal from the drugstore, here is a page from that journal:

I love the lined pages, it helps keep all the text straight. I have been compiling all of my favorite scripture verses in this book sort of as a "go to" book when I need some inspiration or a pick me up or to just play and color. I've also been using ink pens and have found a new pen I just love that is awesome for hand lettering, Pitt pens are awesome. Here are a couple of bible art journaling images from my sketchbook:

I really like taking one main verse and then journaling and adding other verses around it. Once I get started I never know where it will go and that is what I love about it. And just taking my watercolors out and coloring is so much fun. I took this one to the beach the other day and just enjoyed where the process went.

I have also been enjoying working on hand lettering and with the Pitt pens the lettering pretty much writes itself, like magic:)

NEW MPS RELEASES AND VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hi everyone,

Happy November! It FINALLY feels like fall in Southern California, thank goodness. Last weekend it was in the 80's again and its now a nice cool 68 degrees here today, wow, that was a long summer:)

I've been a little out of commission over the last few weeks, my Mom had eye surgery and I was staying with her while she healed and I also was attacked by a dog and had to go to the ER and got a few stitches but both my Mom and I are healing up quickly and things seem to be getting back to normal finally, thank goodness! So back to the drawing board:)

NUTCRACKER CLARA SKETCH AND ST. THERESE ART

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying some cool and crisp fall weather where you are. September is such a hot month here in Southern California. It was almost 90 degrees here along the coast last weekend and will be again this weekend:(

So to keep myself cool I always like to work on Christmas designs, yay! I've been sketching alot of Nutcracker sketches of Clara and I have decided on this one to be made into my next digital stamp/set.

i just love the Nutcracker, dont you? My Mom and decided we are going to see it this year, we've missed the last few years, its always been a tradition for us to go and of course the cd is playing all day at my Mom's Christmas Day:)

Also, I've got a few finishing touches on "Baby Therese" my next commissioned work of St. Therese of Lisieux and hopefully she will be a digital stamp soon as well:)

I've added some new board to my PINTEREST page including a DIY INSPIRATION board and a BIBLE ART JOURNALING board as well which I'm excited about, come and take a look:)

SKETCHING WEEKEND

Happy Labor Day weekend! I am SO happy to have some time off to relax and to sketch this weekend, work has been insane for the last month and I am finally getting a day off to work on my art again, yay!

I've been really inspired by all of the boards on Pinterest, especially the Christmas themed ones, dare I say its right around the corner? I did some sketches inspired by the Nutcracker:

And I did a little sketch of Psalm 23, I have been doing so many sketches of Jesus with His little lamb and I finally sketched the one I liked, this one, I wanted this to show how much He loves us:

And I have been working on some sketches for my portfolio and one of the themes is Cinderella, I am having so much fun with this one:

I've done a little "housekeeping" here at my blog and have redecorated my blog buttons and links to my Pinterest, Etsy and Twitter pages.

And coming in the next couple of months new rubber stamp sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle:)

Hi friends,

I hope that you are all having a wonderful summer, that you had alot of fun road trips and vacations and some good old fashioned BBQ's or maybe just some well deserved relaxation time. In between my dogwalks I have been doing alot of drawing and also some digital coloring again and I've been having a blast with coloring some of my new and old images.

Its been SO HOT here in Southern California, especially last week, since our summer usually heats up in August and September the most. I've been dogwalking by the beach alot this month  and have been inspired by all the kids running up and down the sand, so cute! Happy Summer! I hope you are all enjoying your "Christmas in July" creating and are keeping cool. A few weeks ago I stumbled onto a website called Creative Live, if you havent been there I highly recommend it, I am so hooked. 

Its full of art classes of all different types for all different levels and also have lots of professional classes for artists who want to sell and market their art. Some are also free at different times and they always have classes on sale as well. 

I took a class called, "Become A Working Artist" with Lisa Congdon who does a number of things as an artist; licensing, canvas painting, writing and teaching to name just a few. What an inspiration, I highly recommend her class!

I have a few things to share with you, first I have a new rubber stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle called, "3 WISE MEN" available now!

I have also been working on some sketches and some digital color work. I am trying to update my portfolio with some childrens book illustrations and have been playing around with illustrating, "Cinderella" below are a sketch and colored sketches.

I also am posting a little, soon to be a stamp set, sketch  called, "A BEACH DAY" that has been really fun to work on. I will chat with you soon, I hope you enjoy your weekend:)

NEW DIGITAL STAMPS, ORIGINAL PAINTINGS AND FAIRY SKETCH

Hi Everyone,

I hope you have all been putting your artistic talents to good use these days and are enjoying lots of creative time for yourselves, its a must, right? I would LOVE to know what you guys are working one please feel free to share:)

 

It has been FOREVER since I've posted anything on my blog so I thought I'd better clean up the cobwebs here and start sharing myself...

I have a new digital stamp image and a couple of new sets that I updated from a couple of old favorite images that I just posted on my Etsy shop; I just listed a new image of St. Therese of Liseux,  "Woofie's First Birthday" set and "Birthday Queen of Hearts" digital stamp set.

Also, I wanted to post a little sketch of my new "Forget-Me-Not" Flower Fairy (soon to be a digital stamp - holding my breath now:))

Dear Friends,

I hope your new year is going well so far. I've been trying to get creatively cranked up again after Christmas and being sick thru most of December with a bad cold but feel great now and ready to start off 2015 with some new work to share with you guys.

I just listed a brand new digital stamp set at my Etsy shop, its called, "COFFEE FRIENDS" and was inspired by my coffee friends that I meet with at Starbucks and of course my great love of coffee, which is actually more of an obsession sometimes since I cant seem to live without it most days:)
