SKETCHBOOK PAINTINGS

 Happy Sunday and a Happy Father's Day to all of you who are celebrating today.

I had today off and am playing in my sketchbook with some watercolors and glitter. I have been really enjoying painting, coloring and inking and glittering these little ACEO paintings lately.

I'm sorry that the photos are a bit fuzzy, I'm taking pictures with my camera because I wanted to make sure the glitter showed but I cant get them into focus very well since they are pretty tiny:) Hugs, Michelle

NEW MIXED MEDIA ACEO CARD

I have been playing with the ACEO bristol board cards I ordered a while ago and decided since I painted a birthday cake for my Mom last week, I decided to make another one for a friend of mine.

I used pen and ink, watercolor and couldnt resist a little bit of Diamond Stickles glitter on top of the red hearts, it makes it look extra cute:)

They are really easy and fun to make and they fit perfectly inside a birthday card as a little extra surprise!

BIRTHDAY CAKES/ACEO FOR MY MOM

This weekend I made my Mom a little birthday gift. I was playing around in my sketchbook and was drawing lots of birthday cakes so I decided to make her a really pretty one on paper since I could never actually make her a real one:) I drew and colored and glittered this one in my sketchbook and thought it would be fun to make a little ACEO card for her, a little mini-birthday card. So I got out my watercolors and had a blast coloring and glittering her card. I hope she likes it! Her birthday is Wednesday and my brother and I are taking her to a fun

A WATERED GARDEN SKETCH

Hi everyone! I am so happy that I have finally had some time this weekend to create again! Petsitting has been so very busy, which is a good thing, but not for my creativity:)

I have been trying to make my Sundays truly The Lord's Day lately, to rest, read my bible and go to church.

One thing I have been doing is to choose a scripture verse from my bible and illustrate it. I have a couple of faith journals and a sketchbook that I keep all my favorite verses. There are so many beautiful ones but yesterday I chose this one from Isaiah 58:11, "He will renew your strength and you shall be like a watered garden." Don't you love this one? I know when I am true to my faith and keep close to God and to prayer I truly feel like a watered garden, so true isnt it?

WOOFIE'S WINTER WONDERLAND

"WOOFIE'S WINTER WONDERLAND"

I've been coloring up a storm over the last couple of weeks and it feels so good to be pushing myself creatively again. I've just finished another image to use for the illuminated art lights. This image is a rubber and digital stamp, "Woofie in the Snow" and is now called, "Woofie's Winter Wonderland."

I truly got lost in all the magic of Photoshop with this one:) So much fun!

I'm working on Peppermint the Polar bear next with a really fun border of candy canes, stars and peppermint sticks:)

NEW LICENSING VENTURE

I've just signed a new licensing contract for my art to be sold on Illuminated lighting for a company locally here in Southern California. They will be using my colored images to create unique framed illuminated art.

The artwork is printed on a acrylic and then places in a frame and is illuminated with led lights behind the image and the color just pops!

I wanted to share one of the images they will be using. Does this one look familiar? It was originally "The Haunted Tree"  digital stamp, now in color it is called, "The Dream Tree" and we thought it would be awesome colored with an inspirational verse and I think it will look great as an illuminate work of art.

It feels SO good to be coloring my images again, I really have missed doing that over the last couple of years. I will be coloring Woofie in the Snow next:)

Cant believe I havent posted in so long, ouch! I hope you all survived the Christmas crazies and are enjoying a wonderful new year so far.

Did any of you go to CHA last weekend? I went on Sunday and walked the show with the ladies from Sparkle N Sprinkle (the company that is licensing my art for rubber stamps) and had a blast! I got to watch "Demo Donna" from SNS shoot a Demo for the upcoming Craft Time TV and OMGosh, my head was spinning with all the beautiful stamps and colored papers and glitter there among other things!

SNS will have a booth at the Scrapbooking Expo in a few weeks and I cant wait to go back and check it out along with all the rows/booths full of eye candy. I know it will be alot of fun.
