ARTIST PLAY DAY WITH COLOR AND GLITTER
Happy Sunday, everyone! Today was a "jammie" day for me and I loved every minute of it! I took the day off to "play" since this is probably the last day to do so until after January 2nd. The petsitting, Christmas parties and shopping crazies are going to be in full swing starting next weekend so I thought I'd better take advantage of some "me" time today:)
I drew lots of Parables, Christmas images and partridges in pear trees in my sketchbook and took out my colored pencils, watercolor, markers and my Diamond Stickles glitter glue and had a blast!
I drew this little Peppermint girl and inked it and then colored and added glitter to it. Oh my gosh it was the most fun I have had in so long, I so miss working in color and it made my creative heart so happy!
I took this picture with my camera so I apologize for the fuzzy image. I think this would be a fun image for an ACEO and also a digital stamp, too:)

WIZARD OF OZ SKETCH
Dont you just love the Wizard of Oz? It is one of my all time fav movies and has a sentimental place in my heart. My Dad and I and our family always used to watch it growing up and everytime I hear any version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" I still always think about my Dad:)
In the last week I have been seeing it everywhere! I watched it on TV last weekend, I was at a wine bar with a friend this week and it was playing on the screen on the wall next to us and I took my Wizard of Oz book, that has the whole script of the movie, off the shelf this weekend and got inspired to draw this little sketch. I thought a border with some pretty Poppies would be fun and I gave the scarecrow his diploma, the tin woodsman his heart and the poor cowardly lion a fearful look on his face:) I love that scene where he scares himself by pulling his own tail:) I think this would make a fun holiday image!
