WELCOME TO THE MPS "WE HEART YOU" BLOG HOP/CHALLENGE!

Welcome! You are at the first stop of the Michelle Perkett Studio "We Heart You and Thank You for your Friendship" Blog Hop and Challenge!

I have been dreading this day because it is the last challenge with all of our current MPS DT Mermaids. But we are here to celebrate them! We want to show our appreciation and thank them for their hard work and especially their lovely friendship they have shared with us over the last 6 months!

Jan, Tammy, Melissa, Marilyn and Margie will be leaving us and I would like to tell you girls that you have been more than just a DT to me and to all of us. You have been more of an extended family. You warm friendship you have shown to our group and our members has been so warmly appreciated, much more than you know. You have all displayed the qualities that I look for in not only a DT but in friends as well. I will miss you dearly and will miss seeing your incredible creations each week. You all have made MPS a place that people feel comfortable sharing their good times and bad and sharing their MPS creations, knowing that they will always hear a positive comment just like they would from a good friend or family member! And a special thank you for Jan for all of your amazing blog posts on Thursdays and for all of your Challenge posts! They were all so wonderful and we cant thank you enough!! And thank you to Margie for her fun parties and excitement for each of our events at MPS! Thank you all so much for being such wonderful ladies and for working so hard to make our group such a success! We Love you!!:) I also want to give a special thank you to Julie, who was with us for the first part of our hop but had to leave us early, thank you so much for your lovely friendship and beautiful creations, Julie, we miss you!!:)

And to Marion, Shelley, Claire, Mari, Andrea and Pauline! I thank you all as well from the bottom of my heart for your amazing friendship and creativity and for making Michelle Perkett Studio one of the most uplifing groups to be a part of and a place for sharing and caring! I am thrilled to have you back for another 6 month term and I know it will be as much fun as the last 6 and I know you will welcome our new DT ladies with open arms!:) And a Big thank you to Marion for all of her Saturday posts as well as her weekly Challenge posts, especially over the last couple of months with her family illnesses, Thank you Marion for everything!! And another big thank you to Shelley for running our blog hops and events with such a wonderful friendly attitude! Thank you so much girls! We love you, too!:)

So now...Let's get on with our Blog Hop and enjoy all of our mermaids amazing creativity! We are saying goodbye to 5 of our DT ladies, Jan, Marilyn, Margie, Melissa and Tammy and we want to thank them for all of the incredible creations and hard work they have done for Michelle Perkett Studio over the last 6 months! ART DECO BUTTERFLY BIRTHDAY LADY!

Hello everyone!

What an amazing day to be an artist! I had the day off from work and played in my studio most of the day and I loved every minute of it! I sketched and inked and journaled for hours! I had all my candles burning and my "fairy" music playing and drank Starbucks VIA instant coffee (my new vice) with Peppermint Mocha creamer in it. Yum!

I cant even remember the last time when I fed my little inner artist so much, it was heavenly! I hope you have had some "YOU" time this week for yourselves as well, I highly recommend it!

I finished the first image of my new Art Deco Ladies set today so I hope you like her!:) She is available at my Etsy shop:) And coming soon, digital colored Mini-prints! See you soon!

WELCOME TO THE MICHELLE PERKETT STUDIO "HOLIDAY MAGIC" BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Michelle Perkett Studio "Holiday Magic" Blog Hop! Merry Christmas everyone!

Can you believe that Christmas is just a week away?!? I want to thank all of you who participated in our hop this weekend and thank you for all of you who are hopping along! We have lots of fun planned for you!!

Our theme is of course Holiday Magic and our blog hop participants were to use their favorite Michelle Perkett Studio holiday image and make a magical creation with it, which is always my favorite thing about our hops!:)

Also, we asked everyone to share what is magical to them about the holidays. if they have a favorite holiday magic memory or maybe they find magic in the eyes of your children or their holiday traditions or their family and friendships? Do they find magic in volunteering to help those less fortunate or maybe they find magic in the holiday cards they are creating! I cant wait to find out!

My holiday magic is being together with my friends and family and how even more special they are to me during this time of year. I am always so sentimental at Christmas and hug them a little longer or laugh with them a little more and tell them how much I appreciate them because I dont see them as much as I'd like to during the rest of the year ( I think I need to work on that!) The magic of family and old friends never fades no matter how long its been since we've seen each other or talked with them.

I also have an extra special magical memory of Christmas with my Dad. He passed away in 1994 and Christmas was always extra special for me because we both shared the same birthday on December 25th. How cool is that!? A friend of mine told me once that I will always have this day to remember him and all the birthdays we shared and the birthday cakes we blew out candles together and that is just what I do. Even now, on Christmas Day I say, "Happy Birthday, Dad!" I know he is still here in spirit helping me blow out the candles on my cake!:)
