SAINT MICHAEL SKETCH

Happy Thursday, everyone, I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful week. I finally bought myself a new sketchbook since the one I had was totally filled up, I love that feeling! I love my new one and have been filling it up with lots of Saints and Angels so far.

I have been going to a bible study at St Michael's Abbey once a month here in Southern California and the teacher is Father Gregory who is such an awesome person so I was thinking he might like a picture of St. Michael. I was inspired by the icon paintings of the saints that are so graphic and stylized and all have such beautiful faces. I'm not sure if I will make this into an ink drawing or color it or just keep working on the graphite drawing and give him this one with more details and frame it? I think I'll let St. Michael lead me:)

NEW "NOEL" ANGEL DIGITAL STAMP

I just finished my new "NOEL" ANGEL DIGITAL STAMP I have been drawing Angels and Saints in my new sketchbook over the last week, I just cant stop:)

I guess that's where the Holy Spirit is leading me these days and I'm so okay with that. I drew a sketch of St. Michael the Archangel this morning and lots of St Francis and some calligraphy too so I'll be scanning and posting those this week.

"NOEL" ANGEL SKETCH

Happy Thursday everyone! What a crazy week this has been. Nothing bad, just so many unexpected bumps in the road of life but thankfully all the stuff that was thrown at me has worked out for the better and have turned into blessings. I love it when that happens:)

One blessing was that I have been home this week, no overnights with any doggies so I've had extra time to work in my sketchbook, my favorite thing, and happily I have completely filled up this wonderful sketchbook that my friend Jamie gave me and had to buy another one which I will be breaking in tonight!

I was going thru my art books and found this gorgeous angel painting by Edward Burne-Jones, called "The Angel." and it inspired me to create this little angel, I'm naming her "Noel." I just cant get enough of angels and Christmas these days and am working on a Nativity sketch too:) I hope to work on Noel this weekend, I will be home all next week as well and will get lots of creative time in (fingers crossed:))

FINDING RUDOLPH

"RUDOLPH"

Happy Voting day to those of you in the USA!
I just listed my newest image at my Etsy shop called, "Rudolph" and I never would have created him if it werent for the mice in my apartment:(

I found evidence on Friday last week of little critters in my apartment so I have been cleaning furiously everywhere especially in my closet. I found one of my old sketchbooks that were loaded with Christmas images and  a tiny sketch of Rudolph that I thought would make a really pretty stamp design.

I think the mice are gone but I'm grateful for them because I never would have found Rudolph hiding in my closet inside the pages of my sketchbook!

CHRISTMAS SNOW ANGEL - SNEEK PEEK

I wanted to share a little sneek peek of my new "Christmas Snow Angel" coming soon, I promise she will have a body and some wings attached:)
It is crazy how fast approaching the holidays are but I am super excited for Halloween one of my favorite times of the year. It finally feels like fall here in southern California, nice and cool and crisp here this week!

NEW MPS "GINGERBREAD LAND" STAMP SET RELEASE!

Hi everyone! I have been working on a new digital stamp set for Christmas called, "GINGERBREAD LAND" and will be releasing it on Tuesday, October 9th and it will be available at MY ETSY SHOP!

CHRISTMAS SNOW ANGEL SKETCH

Even though its super hot here in Southern California I'm still dreaming of a white Christmas:) I just cant wait for the weather to cool off and for my two favorite holidays to get here, Halloween and Christmas!

Here is a little sketch I did that I am thinking of calling the "Christmas Snow Angel" Not sure yet, any ideas?:)
